On Wednesday (13th) I flew to Winnipeg from Calgary, arriving at 2215, only to find that there was no sign of Jennifer, who was picking me up. She was sat at the wrong gate - not exactly the largest airport in the world either, thankfully or we coiuld have really missed each other. It was great to see her and we headed back to her house. Jen's mum and dad (Shirley and Mel) became great friends of my mum and dad when they were living over here. Jen and I were born four days apart and were bridesmaids at each others weddings. Her husband Jon was up when we got back, but I did not see her little boy, Lukas nearly 4, until yesterday afternoon when they all came in from work. I feel like I'm nearly home now, as Canada is very familiar to me. The snow has all gone for now and the temperature is quite high, warmer than London at the moment I think. Plans whilst here are fairly flexible, but think we are heading to Saskatchewan to see Shirley and Mel next weekend.
