Hey guys time for another exciting update on the world of Tracy… So basically this is a lot of old stuff I've not had time to write about as I'm always working or drunk. So one day chilling on my work break in the hostel and Dan manages to get himself a job on a campsite doing plumbing and tiling in cabins etc and he gets told he can live in a cabin for free whilst doing this, it then turns out its a campsite that is going to open soon in the summer for backpackers and its also an Eco Retreat hence the cabins, and they need a good few people to help regenerate the area basically so me, Kate, Dan, Jim, Connor, Common Matt and Chris head on over to live in the woods. Its amazing, proper wood fires, bbqs in the bush its so Australian I could cry its fab. But its freezing remember its winter, the cabins aren't there when we arrive so we end up in a dormitory which is basically a freezing cold room with a tin roof with holes in it and it's in part of a barn conversion, the rest of the barn conversion is our living area, we have a cool kitchen and some lovely campsite toilets so its very cool, we all love it there as it's so nice to be outdoors properly, the guy and his wife who are running the campsite are a lovely couple and they live with their 2 kids and his parents and dog. So its proper family. Adrian the guy took us all out for a bike ride round the woods one Saturday I was fooked, not been cycling for years bar Vietnam which was all flat roads, this bike ride was proper mountain biking down teeny dirt tracks and hills and jumps so I was well lagging behind haha. Nearly fell off about 10 times but it was fun nice thing to do here my bike started acting up at the end though and no matter how hard I pedalled I was getting nowhere!! So we live here for free, the deal is 12 hours of work a week for free accommodation which is a saving of $170 a week so we are happy! The work is everything and anything. Raking leaves, clearing plots for tents and caravans, painting, gardening just basically whatever needs doing we do. Kate, Dan and Connor aren't working when we are there the first week and Connor was the only one who managed to do his 12 hours. Shame on the others. I do my work on my work break as I usually get 3 hours at least. Adrian does of course end up being a bit pissed of with some of the others as they are sitting round doing not much but getting drunk and there is many a incident including Dan getting his willy stuck in his zip when we were at the hostel for the night having a party and it got stuck when he went for a wee so on the way home he wanted to go to hospital but we didn't take him for some reason… poor Adrian saw that when we got back as there was so much commotion. Lucky for Dan, Matt was a man and pulled the zip undone and then Dan spent the rest of the night telling everyone bout how his little man was bleeding everywhere haha. He has made a full recovery now though so no worrying everyone haha. And another time I came back from work at 6pm and most of the guys were in a mood and it was because Kate, Dan and Connor were smashed and had been jumping in the big pile of sand at the campsite so Adrian had been over again bless him and wasn't happy. The final straw for him was when we had to move out for a week or so because a school was coming to stay in our dorms and we needed to tidy it back to original standard and it took 3 days. I was trying to buy a car on the sat with Teg as It was my first day off for 2 weeks so didn't go to help tidy up and Chris's friend was visiting from Dunsborough so the others went without us and according to Adrian they rocked up sat around for an hour having a drink. Tidied the kitchen then left. The next day me and Chris came to tidy up at 10 am and they turned up to help at 12.30 but then left again to drop Connor off at football and pick Kates wages up. Matt and Kate didn't even turn up and then eventually Jim and Dan helped us but Adrian by then was furious that no one was here but me and Chris so only us 2 are allowed back now thank god as I really want to save some cash and live in the woods. So we will be getting our own cabin soon and we will have our own rooms and wood burner fire in there so we will be warm! I cant wait!! At the campsite there was also a guy called Sam from Hull who was a nice lad he came for a week before he left to head to Thailand to reunite with his girlfriend who he hadn't seen since December bless him. And also 3 Italian girls, the boys were so excited when they were coming as they thought they might get some hot Italians to get lucky with and instead 3 ugly bettys turned up haha. It was hilarious. 2 of them were clearly lesbians and followed each other everywhere and one of them looked like Connor haha. They weren't like us, they didn't like to drink or socialise. Lucky Sam was a good one and he was very sociable! So yeah I think that might be the story of the woods for now.
Now I mentioned I was car hunting with handsome Teg from work we both were desperate for cars, Vera was wrecked her bumper was fully off now and a panel beater told me it was a piece of s*** car not worth $100 and it would cost $250 to fix and we'd need to get a replacement bumper as it was so bad he said the brackets were in the completely wrong place 'like you've ran over something and then reversed back over it again…?' ahem. Nice one Janine haha!! Hilarious! So he said the equivalent of 'pet scrap ya car its s***e like' in Australian though of course. He also stated it was illegal to drive with no bumper.. oops. He said play on the fact you are a girl and no Australian and the fact you have it in the back of the car if I was stopped so that was my plan. Lucky I never got stopped!! The fuel pump went again too which was s*** as it started costing me $25 a day to get to and from work… bad crack!! So me and Teg went car hunting we got nowhere though, We did a test drive on a Kia but it was from the Italians that used to live in the hostel who I hated haha. It had no power steering so I couldn't get it out of the car space. Teg went for a proper drive but we agreed it was crap! So no from both of us. We went to the car garage where they had no cheap cars but they had a vintage car for $1750 but the engine wouldn't start and I swear it was the coolest car I have ever seen!! No idea what kinda car it was though. We got chatting to the salesman (obviously) and Teg said I need a surf board and next thing you know the sales man is giving him a surfboard for free!! What a nice man!! He was from Essex. I think he must have fell for Tegs welsh charm too. So off we went again to Coles to look at the notice board and I text a number but no replies so our car hunt was very bad. I then decided I would go back to the campsite for lunch so I rang Chris to see if he wanted a pasty from Brumbys but he was right there already and going to the pub to meet him mate Lisa (another scouser) so of course I went to the pub with them instead!! It was lush we sat outside she brought her Taiwanese friend too so it was cool we had a good day. We managed to persuade Lisa to stay in Mags for the night so we all went on a road trip to Dunsborough to drop her friend off and we went to the beach and we took Posh Matt too so we had a nice trip out! Lisa is lush It was so nice to meet another girl as there is mainly boys here (Alex and Lydia have gone now too) she is a normal girl with excellent crack so I was happy she came for the weekend, we went to the chocolate factory with her and we all got really drunk in the hostel that night and went to the settlers for some drinks and me and her shared a bottle of wine which was very exciting as buying wine outside of the bottleo is very unusual here. And then we danced and perved on boys! Best night ever! So that night when we were getting drunk I was doing my washing in the hostel of my work clothes, when they were done the washer was a wee bit flooded with dirty water so I stuck my clothes in the dryer and it didn't work, so I put them in the next dryer and in the morning it was all done and the Scottish girl from reception was like urgh someones broke the washing machine what a idiot etc, then she came up to me in the kitchen screaming her head off at me like 'did you break the washing machine you working in a dairy farm the waters black in the washer it must be you as you did washing last night' so I said well yeah I did washing and the machine flooded but I didn't break it I just washed my clothes. She was all oh well yeah but I found metal in the machine that must have been with your stuff cos you work on a farm so you've clogged the machine up with it and your clothes would have been covered in poo… erm no actually pet I have nothing to do with metal at work apart from metal cups for cow milking which certainly wouldn't fit in me pocket and no my clothes aren't covered in s*** as I wear overalls. So anyway it went on for quite some time she was well ranting on like a dickhead and then she said I'd broke the dryer too and then she accused me of criminal damage… seriously. She said she would be sending me the bill to repair them… ok pet. Then Ben came and give me the same grief as she had obviously ran to him. So I explained it must have been broke before as I have nothing to do with metal and my clothes aren't dirty actually due to my overalls which I do not wash as its pointless! But anyways he was angry and couldn't see past the fact they assume I come home covered in s*** and carrying metal everywhere? I also explained the amazing washer had already ripped my best skirt before too it was clearly a massive piece of s*** but anyways he said he would send me the bill. I was like oh good cos I have tons of cash with me working the whole time I've been here… oh wait - not! STUPID! As if I'm going to pay to repair a washer that 100 people use a million times a week. I think not. Anyways it turned out they managed to fix them themselves… funny that. And then I found out that stupid Scottish bint was telling people about how stupid and wreckless I was. How professional of her. Im going to slap her before I leave I think, I also hope to god she never opens a dairy farm as I dunno what she would do with the metal but I don't think the cows would appreciate it. Far too much drama in my life sometimes even doing laundry isn't straightforward.
So when we moved out of the campsite to let the kids in we all moved to Cowaramup which is where my profile picture on facebook is from, it's a village full of cow statues. Its right next to the millers dairy farm who make wonderful ice cream $9.50 a tub! Kate is a cleaner/housekeeper/babysitter/tutor for this nice lady who was going back to the uk for a holiday so she wanted Kate to HouseSit for her (housesitting is huge over here funnily enough as its extremely safe) so she said she could have friends over too so 7 of us moved in. she has a 4 bed mansion house with 2 bathrooms and a fire! So we were happy plenty room for us. So we moved in there and it became party central officially as we had no curfew for the first time in 2 months. We also made lovely family meals everynight!! A lot of drama happened here too, Jim got stuck in the bathroom first day we got in and they had to take the handle off to get him out, I broke another washing machine - joke. It just flooded…seriously I don't know what is wrong with me! Its all fine now though it was because the boys left their pants in the sink where the washer water goes as it was already broke. Phew. A lot of glasses were accidently smashed and Kate gave me some clothes from the ladies nice pop up shop she has! Whoop!! Lush black and green striped top and shorts too. Happy days! First weekend Dans mate Aldin and his girlfriend came to stay for the weekend which was nice to have new people with us for once!! We drank a lot of vodka and sambucca!!
Last Friday I came in from work got ready and it was party night which was a shame as I was at work at 5.30. I went to bed at 2.30 and probably had about 1 hours sleep then went to work and then on the sat night I stayed at the hostel again as we had to move back there as party house was over as the lady was coming back! So on Saturday after work I got ready had some wine and went to the pub with Matt, Cody and Patrik. Francesco and Max came too and we saw the Italians I hate whose car I didn't buy and one of them spent a lot of the night trying to crack on to me - urgh! Think not mate!! So I ended up going to bed at around 1.30 and back at work at 5.30. bad times! Kate also left Margaret River that day too which was sad!! She is going to housesit (again) in Adelaide this time for a good few months!! Dan left too after not managing to keep his cabin job on so he got another in Perth! So off he went too what a sad day!! And then Connor and James got the offer of moving into a caravan site (where I tried to move previously) so they were leaving the next day!! Oh dear we are all being separated by life!! After now living with Jim in a range of locations: Melbourne Hardware Lane, Swan Barracks Perth, Manji Hostel, Mags Backpackers, Campsite heaven and Cowaramup it's the end of an era!!
On the Monday on my break from work I helped Jim move house and then we went and got little Vera scrapped. We got not one penny for her as she is a massive piece of s*** as I mentioned! She is crap. We posed with her and took her reg plates off before taking her to car heaven. On route a weird Asian man tried to buy the cd player for ten bucks but we couldn't get it out so we give it up!! So weird getting rid of her she served us well but cost us a f***ing fortune!! My new car is a lovely small green Barina Holden. Aww. And she is no limo that's for sure. And when I drive her I don't worry about being over the lines anymore as she aint massively wide thank god! A normal car again!! Feel so much less stressed now!! And we get $180 back in car rego when it arrives woo hoo!! So that is happy news indeed.
On Tuesday it was Tegs 22nd birthday which I found out on my way home from work from Vincent so me, Teg, Adam and Sam went for a birthday curry as it was curry night after all! It was lush and I got hoegarden!! Amazing!! Vince and Sam got Teg some honey bourbon and I got him 2 pint bottles of Little Creatures Pale Ale for his birthday so we got him a wee bit drunk! I went to bed at 10pm rock n roll, Sam n Teg went to bed much later. Poor Teg was at work at 5am, and in the morning Adam informed us he had brought a girl back haha happy birthday!! I have no idea how he managed to get up for work but he was meant to be taking Sams car in but it wasn't working so he had to call Garry to pick him up!! Bless him. Today is Thursday and I have just tomorrow left at work and then Im finally off for the weekend 12 days on is a hard go like. But will be worth it when I get paid tomorrow!! So happy!!on Saturday I'm moving back to the campsite and me and Matt want to go to the Caves and The reptile park! So hopefully that's Saturday sorted!
Not sure if I've missed anything else out? So think that's me, gonna go make some lunch and then head back to work to get those bleedin cows in!! much love y'all xxxxxxx
