Sunday - 730. We headed out to Waitomo caves with Bart to go blackwater rafting. We got sited up in wet suit pants, socks, shirt, and gloves. We got rubber duckie boots and helmet with lights. Then we drove to a stream and got innertubes. Then practiced backwards flops into the water. Then a hike up and down to a little stream. We walked our innertubes down into a cavern and Bart and I left mum and dad behind and we let the tour guide take over.  

We left our innertubes inside and crawled though a tiny space to find our selves in a hole with a waterfall coming out at the top middle. Neat! Then back to get the innertubes and float through the caves with head lamps out and watching the glow worms flicker up above us. It was wonderful. 

When we came out of the caves mum and dad were there to greet us, but it wasn't over yet. Then we hopped back into the river and floated to the carparrk. Then we went back to the camp to take wet wetsuits off and have a hot shower and then for soup and.... bagels. Yuuuuuummmmmiiiiee. 

Then a bushwalk with tunnels. Then we stopped at the ostriches to take a picture. We got to the side of the road and they crowded around. We took pictures then away from there back home to warm up. (We saw cave wetas at the entrance)
