Dad and I watched surfers then to the Observatory party

Sunday - This morning we went to the lily show at the Hamilton gardens. The lilies looked so beautiful. This night was the Jazz night, so we met Carol there. I met a girl named Amber there and we walked around a horse stable and racing track. They had a buffet supper and a dessert. They also had 2 live bands. School DaysWe went to Te Rapa waterworld for our party. Then we went 10 pin bowling. On the last day all the Standard 4's got a certificate.

Saturday - Dad was building the telescope and we saw some interesting birds. We went to the zoo. We saw rhino's galloping around. We saw really colourful birds that were chewing on a popsicle stick. I saw monkey's and lemurs. The cats had made paths in the ground. We went to an otter pond but no otters. I called out "come out otters or you will be rotters". They came out! Saturday - This morning Dad wanted to go tot he observatory out at the zoo. We saw what I called drunk birds outside the zoo. After lunch we went to the glowworm caves. The glowworms catch flies that come from the water. They put down strands of sticky saliva, then they lure the flies up by putting on their lamps and the flies think the light is a way out so they fly up and get eaten. It looked like a galaxy of stars rather than glowworms. We saw ostriches on...
