Saturday - We went to Auckland and to Kelly Tarltons museum where I watched penguins through a glass window through another glass window. Then we took a little bus ride through the penguin sanctuary and saw the four new born King penguins. Then the ride took us in a little room where there were statues of seals on ice. Then a mechanical killer whale popped out of the water with a seal in its mouth! Then the ride took us through a whole bunch of flags, then we got off the ride.
We watched sea urchins being fed and crayfish. We saw sea horses and porcupine fish. Some poisonous fish, a turtle, big eels and barracudas. Then we went through the underwater tunnels. There were giant crayfish, giant turtles, big moray eels (one looked like a pig) there was a conveyer belt that went through the glass tubes to keep people moving. Then the next bit of the tube was sharks over 2 meters long and my favourite, huge huge huge stingrays, some were 3 meters long - with their tail included they would be 5 meters. Huge! When the stingrays come over the tube it looked so neat.
After that we went to the IMAX, but didn't see any shows. We had tea in the tea room. Then to an art museum. The painting looked so real. Then we drove around and watched the cricketers (they look like sheep). Then we drove to the of NO tree hill and looked over Auckland city. The narrowest part of NZ is VERY narrow! What if the sea floods! Then you will have three bits of NZ instead of two! The small north island, the middle island and the south island! Anyway. We went back down the hill and had supper in Hamilton and had one of the best dinners here in NZ.
