Halong Bay Day Two...

Today we got off of the boat and got a bus to Monkey Island. It was a gorgeous little paradise, the beach and the little log cabin bungalows were a postcard picture.

And the food was gorgeous!

We went for a 'trek' after lunch... More like rock climbing!! We climbed up the back of the resort and over the highest point of the island and down the other side, to see some Monkeys :-)

We were feeding two, then loads appear flying through the trees. A mother came with her baby holding on for dear life and a got a great picture of the baby nursing on the mother :-D

There was an older monkey, he must've been the boss, as he was feisty!! There was a Japanese guy siting under a tree ignoring the monkeys and 'the boss' donked him on the head as if to say, if your going to lean against my tree you can notice me and feed me :-) He then went on the have a hissing match with a teenage Japanese guy... The monkey won!!

The island was perfect... Until the cockroaches appeared in my cabin! They were so fast and getting everywhere, so I managed to change cabins to the only spare one in the resort.... A queen size bed, private ensuite, sea view bungalow :-D I even let the massive spider in the bathroom stay, although he was missing from his spot in the morning :-s
