Before leaving Machu Picchu we arranged to meet in the Centre playa de Armas, by the fountain at 11, as Antonio, our guide said he would give us a tour around the city and in the markets.

There is a big festival in the city tomorrow, there was a pre-festival parade going on, where the locals carry all the saints they worship to the cathedral in the city centre! Each saint seemed to have its own marching band and even dancers if it was lucky.

We walked through the markets trying all the food that we wouldn't be able to get in our countries. My favourite was Mana, popped corn and sugar... Popcorn :-)

We sat in the sun after and watched the parade come through the city and then went to lunch!

Oh, I got my laundry done :-) it came back all nicely folded ready for the next stage.

We are meeting again at 11am tomorrow under Paddys Bar :-) for the festival, where we are going to get our tour guide drunk so he will except our tips :)
