June 12: Day 38:
Today Mum and Dad decided to go to two Gorges today, Adcock and Galvan Gorge. Adcock was further away but Mum wanted to go from what she thought was worst to best. Well the road to Adcock was certainly the worst. There were rocks scratching the bottom of our car, little water crossings and big sideways dips. The Gorge had only a 200 metre walk in and there was a waterfall that we were able to swim in and partially climb it. The water was a bit fresh but we survived. We left after a little bit and went to another Gorge that was just a little bit further back. This one was called Galvan’s Gorge, only a few more people were parked here but that was probably because there was no drive-in. When we had walked in the Gorge had one big pretty waterfall and this water was a bit warmer. The actual water from the falls was much more heated, so we sat underneath it for a while and then dived back into the water. There was a water monitor only a few metres away from were the waterfall was but thankfully it was sitting on the edge. So we left to come back for a relaxing finish to the day.
