I arrive late in the evenening in Bratislava, i half wondered if i wouyld make it at all because i was really struggling to find any accomodation. in the end i found a small hostel by the station, i was not expecting much. my reservations were totally misplaced as the mostel was wonderful. i met a 2 guys from kingston and an irish guy who worked at carary wharf who had just come through poland. i went out with them for a couple of drinks (my first alcahol since barcelona). the next morning i spent the day just walking around. it has a nice castle (built in the 1950s) and a nice old town but there isn't too much to keep you interested for too long in Bratislava. do i boarded an early afternoon train bound for austria to visit Vienna (the only time on my trip in which i will reenter a county.
