Well berlin wsn't a planned destination but i was keen to enjoy it. i arrived to rain and fog. i was doubly keen as i also got upgraded to a single room as they had over booked. no bathroom, no tv but my own room seemed like pure luxury. they have a free walking tour in berlin (you are supposed to tip)i joined that as my first port of call but got a bit fed up so left early. berlin is a city i was always keen to visit, with all its history bradenberg gate, reichstaggebaude, wall as well as all the history. the wall was a bit of a disappointment. as its just a small section left. the mamorials were great, i was also shocked how close hitlers bunker was to the sentre, it is now underneath a car park to some flats. berlin was great fun though. the change to go up the dome on the reichstagge was really good. i also went out to see Sachsenhausen a kind of small Auschwitz that was the first concentration camp set up by the nazis in 1936. my plan was to spend 2 days in berlin and then head back rast into poland only my lack of planning mean't my first problems on the trip. with the train i wanted fully booked and no where else to go i was stuck in berlin an extra day. keen not to spend much money i just spent the day walking before getting my final interrail trip a sleeper train to Krakow
