I arrived late from my afternoon bus from Vilnuis, it was nearly midnight by the time i arrived. i had not bothered to book a hostel but managed to find one very easily on the edge of the old town not too far from the station. my one day in Riga was a bit disappointing the whether wasn't great after a look around the city. it was also monday do many of the museums were also closed i did manage to make it to the jewish museum and also the fantastic occupation museum charting the 3 occupations of latvia in the 20th centuary Russia, Germany and then russia agaian) a a bit more walking the rain came down and i managed to find an irish bar with the cricket on. so spent the rest of the afternoon drinking latvian beer watching england fail to win the first test match against india. it seemed it was raining at lords almost as must as it was in Riga
