As the Venezuelan group had booked a package tour and Hiro, Andreas and us were part of the group Ricardo said we could join them on the tour free. Hiro was excited but I was wary as we did have to pay little extra here and there which combined most probably equalled the tour price, if not more. We drove in the truck to a waterfall that had patterned rocks similar to tiger fur. Sam and Alexandra went into to have a bath but it was way too cold. We then drove to the spot where they filmed scenes from the first Jurassic Park. After we went to our final destination on the Sabana tour. A canyon with many beautiful waterfalls. We had to walk down rivers up to our waist. Climb rocks, trek through forest to visit them. One of the waterfalls we climbed which was cold but awesome...
The trek back was tiring. We all drove back to Santa Elenia to freshend up.
The Venezuelan group would now go to Angel Falls. Stevie and I got on well with them so we very last minute joined their group to Angel Falls. Ricardo rushed me back to the Brazilian border to get out money so I could change it on the black market. By the time I had organised the trip Hiro and Andreas were gone. Hopefully we can meet up with then soon...
...with the Angel Falls trip book we grabbed a quick Pizza with the Venezuelan crew and headed to the bus terminal....
sleeping bag, jumper and socks all ready for a sub-zero aircon bus.
We stopped at several check points. At one the soldier ordered us off the bus. We waited outside when he and another soldier were shouting at each other we got back on the bus and it drove off....none the wiser why we had to get off.
