Rebecca's Adventure!!
Hi Guys! Dont worry im not at Ayers Rock, just thought it was a nice pic. So I have been busy working since my last blog, sorry about that. Lots more stories from all the Adventure sailing we have been doing, its been a blast adn definately will go down as the best memories of my travels! Especially as I have seen about 15 humpback whales, some of which have been 10meters from the boat and breaching right out of the water (they are massive!!!!!). I was diving a few weeks ago and you could hear them underwater, its freaky! Your whole body vibrates from the inside. And the other day we were at the reef and two adults and a calf were inside the reef slpashing about...fantastic! Im truely privedged to have seen them and now I want to join Greenpeace!!!!
Im leaving the boat this week though
as I need to move on. Im so sad to be leaving! Skipper and his wife have planned a boozy cruise for us on the boat (if we have no guests) and we can charter it down the coast, which will be awesome so lets hope that happens!!
So I will be leaving good old Cairns in about a week. Im thinking and looking into doing some Banana picking...this will suck!!!! I want to extend my visa though as I dont think I will be ready to go home in May. Its just flying by and it still only seems like yesterday that I left the UK!!! So in order to extend my stay in Oz I have to work in Agriculture for 3 months!!! If i chose a nice place then it wont be so bad. Just South of Cairns is a place called Tully. Famous for being the rainiest place in Oz but also for white water rafting along the Tully River. It looks a lovely place and there is a hostel where you can stay and they find you work on some kind of banana type farm!! It will be hard work but if it means staying in oz for another year I think I can do it!!
Love ya xxx
