Hi Guys!

Made it to Picton on the ferry from Wellington. Only took 3 and a bit hours but it was so windy...no honestly I mean really windy. Nearly lost my coat over the deck!!! Awesome views of Wellington as we left. Crossing the cook strait wasnt as rough as I thought it was going to be, going from what other people had said! Didnt see any Whales or Dolphins, havent seen a single one in NZ yet...better do before I leave!

As the ferry gets to the South Island you sail through the Marlborough Sounds which are beautiful. It is like a totally different country compared to the North! You will see what I mean when you see the pics!

Docked in Picton which is a lovely, pretty small town surrounded by little channels of water with lovely islands. Not a lot do here though! Its quite remote! I went for a walk around the Marina and along a small pennisular which was lovely.

Met up with my friend Laura who lives in Blenheim. Decided to go and stay with her instead of in Picton! Im really waiting for Marlin to finish working in Christchurch so we can travel together in the car we have bought!!
