We left Vegas this morning and headed into Utah! A few hours on the highway, and we were able to make it into the National Park. We got our National Park Pass and started to the hiking trails! We selected shuttle stop number five, which was where the Lodge is located, and also the Emerald Pool trail. There is a bit of a waterfall, and covered trails that was amazing to view. We saw Deer and even a lizard as we went through, and took our time due to the heat and time of day. Since we had to drive some time in the morning, we didn't arrive until about noon. Once we made it through the trails, everyone went down to the river and took their boots off and sat their feet in the water. The boys actually went swimming in the current, and had a great time. A quick refreshing Utah beer - four percent alcohol..) and we checked into our hotel for a swim and some dinner. What a day! We actually drove in Nevada, Colorado and Utah and did the hike all in one day! Tomorrow we're doing a hike called "The Narrows" - where you get to rent water shoes and a walking stick and walk through the river somehow. It is supposed to be cooler, and some amazing views. Can't wait!
