Hello all!
Day one of Spring break, and we made it to Sikeston, MO home of Lambert's Cafe, home of the throwed roll. More on that in a minute. The trip started with Joy hurting her ankle falling in our front yard as we packed the car. We actually thought she broke it, which was a huge concern, but she was able to ice it down and finally stand on it, so we decided to leave. Big drama before we even drive one mile!
We make it to Sikeston, MO to have dinner at Lambert's Cafe, home of the throwed roll. Yes, you got that right, they throw hot home made rolls to people in the restaruant. There was a two hour wait, which bored the kids to tears, but it was worth it. I had a roll hit me in the head, and thought the guy behind me smacked me in the head to start a fight. Imagine my surprise when it was a dinner roll.
Another surprise at dusk was that the trailer running lights were not working. I went into panic mode at first, but then decided I could take the fuse for the horn relay, and get the lights working. Would rather have no horn than no lights. Found replacement fuses at a gas station later on.
So we decided to find a campground right here in Sikeston, and sleep here. Tomorrow will be memphis, about 150 miles from here, and Graceland. I'll start loading pics for that, now I'm crazy tired. My best to all!
