Today was our Pompeii day. It was more amazing than I expected. The historic site was just so huge. I never could have dreamed of the scale. There were numerous homes of people of various classes. There were many many ancient lunch counters, two amphitheatres and one arena, an amazing forum with religious and administrative buildings. There were many homes with amazing tile mosaic floors. There was an amazing amount of paint left on the walls. Even if most of the paintings left were reasonably simply. Just wow!!!!

At the end of the day we went to Sorrento for supper and a stroll. We walked into a lemon orchard and bought some lemon cello. We then walked and strolled around downtown before returning to Naples.

All in all a very good day.
