So today was our first full day in Abu Dhabi. We were with Mom and Dad all day and Alex most of the day.

We started by going to the grand Zayed mosque. It was both huge and intricate. There were many and varied floral motifs. Mom and Trapper had to get traditional Arab garb. I think everyone quite liked it.

We then went and walked around the Emirates palace hotel. It was huge and made of red stone. It was very reminiscent of what I imagine India to be. We also saw the presidential palace from the car.

Then we went off to have lunch at the university campus cafeteria. It was excellent for a cafeteria.

Then off to the louvre. It was a great museum in that there was one of each famous thing not many so it was big enough but not overwhelming. So it was pretty good. The building itself was quite a sight itself.

Then we had a little break at the hotel before going back to the university for the faculty dinner.
