Hey

We have just arrived safely in New Zealand and eveything looks really nice especially the Base Backpackers where we are staying for the next three nights.

Well yesterday we did our Jet Boat - and it definately was a great experience. We went slowly across the Harbour and under the Bridge before being thrown at 360 degree angles left and right and then going really fast and coming to a sudden hault!!! This took 50 minutes and was well worth the money - although we are both feeling the pain now. Even considering doing it again!!! Crazy we know!!!!! lol

We had a lazy afternoon after the Jet Boat - we sat in a few bars and people watched for a few hours.

In the evening we went back to the hostel where we ventured down to the famous Side Bar for our final meal and Two for One drinks!!! On the goon one last time!! Quite a late night considering we had to get up reasonable early for our flight from Sydney to New Zealand.

We flew bright and early from Sydney to Christchurch and got very scared as we entered New Zealand due to the very tight rules regarding what you can and can't bring in. If you lied and did not declare you could be fined $200 - $200,000 - luckily we got a nice old man who liked us and just let us through!!!

Plan to take it easy tonight and explore the area before probably ending up at a bar for a tipple. We have also rang up to confirm the booking has definately gone through for our Hot Air Balloon ride on Monday (Teresa'S Birthday) and we have got to be up at 4am to be told whether it is going ahead or not!!! Fingers crossed it's not cancelled.
