This was an eventful morning getting to the tour agency ready for another jungle tour. Eddy had a mosquito bite near her eye the day before but when she woke up the whole of her left eye was swollen. After initial concern and then Eddy saying it did not hurt I could not help but laugh. It looked like she had been punched in the eye, which I joked that Eddy should say she got punched by one of the monkeys. After getting ready Eddy was sick as she took medicine before eating any breakfast. She accidentally let a monkey in the restaurant whilst running out the door to be sick which was quite amusing for me watching the staff try to catch it. Some other guests at the hostel were not best pleased though! After eating some pancakes Eddy was fine and we set off to get a taxi to the agency. It was early in the morning so taxis were scarce and bizarrely a few refused to stop for us. After walking down the road in the direction of the town we eventually picked up a mototaxi. We ended up being half an hour late to the agency but it wasn't a problem as luckily the guide and rest of the group weren't ready to leave. We got on a boat and travelled down the river to a drop off point where we did some ziplining. It was a really good experience zipling 24m above the rainforest. It involved climbing across some very wobbly narrow canopy bridges though. The highest point we reached was a platform 32m above the ground in a large tree. After lunch we were supposed to go kayaking on the river but it was cold and windy so the river was quite rough. With the guide saying there was a 50% chance of falling in and himself and the rest of the group refusing to kayak we decided against it! Instead we got a boat to Monkey Island where we fed mini bananas to a group of wild monkeys. After the tour we arrived back at the hostel and had a couple of hours to freshen up and eat dinner before getting an overnight bus to Cusco.
