In the morning we went to Mount Cook village where we walked up part of the mountain. There were loads of rocks and massive steps so wasn't easy! The views at the top were amazing though.
Drove next to Lake Pukaki on the way to the village of Lake Tekapo where we stopped for lunch. There are so many lakes here in New Zealand and they are massive!
Visited the Church of the Good Shepherd which was absolutely tiny! But great view of Lake Tekapo from the inside. Also saw the monument to the Border Collie.
Headed to a kiwi sheep farm in Fairlie where we had some afternoon tea - mini sausage rolls, biscuits and scones! We learnt a bit about the farm lifestyle. There were so many sheep which were soooo cute! Fed them and they wouldn't leave us alone afterwards lol! The border collie rounded the sheep up. Never seen that being done before so it was interesting to see how the sheep listened to the dog.
Back to Christchurch where we said goodbye to a lot of people as it was the end of their trip. More than half have gone now. More people will join us in Wellington in 4 days time so it'll be a bit quiet for a while.
Off to Kaikoura before heading to Nelson. Hoping to swim with wild dolphins in Kaikoura, fingers crossed!
