Was so nice to be able to sleep in a proper bed last night! It wasn't bad but the guy underneath me kept moving a lot which meant the bed rocked as I'm sleeping on the top of a bunk bed!

Went to a shopping centre, Westfield, outside the city centre. Yep, they even have a Westfield in NZ! This is more like it! Bought a new top as I have no decent tops left, or maybe that's just to justify buying a new top :p Bought a few other things Including a memory card reader for my iPad to replace the one that broke over a month ago, finally! They didn't sell them anywhere in South America!
Went to the post office and bought a bigger parcel for my things. Walked back to the hostel and packed everything in the box, it all fit this time, yay! Only just though! Walked back to send it off. It was expensive, over £20!! It had to be done though!

Went to the botanical gardens. It took me quite a while to find it as I read the map all wrong somehow! I had forgotten for a moment that it was winter so there wasn't really much to see. I can imagine it must be beautiful in the summer though. It was by the river so there were some people punting.
Went to the Canterbury museum in the botanical gardens, was free otherwise I wouldn't have bothered! It was pretty interesting, about the history of New Zealand plus other things. Plenty of interactive stuff to keep children occupied. Was tempted to play with some of them but had to stop myself lol!

Went to town after to kill some time but most things were closing anyway! It was getting dark so decided to go back to the hostel. Found a quicker way. If only I knew yesterday, it would have saved a lot of time lol! Never mind.

Meeting the group early tomorrow morning.
