The drive was a long one from Taupo to Wellington. Gorgeous views and for Lord of the ring fans out there we drove passed Mt Ruapehu, Mt Tongariro and Mt Ngauruhoe better known to you as Mt Doom!! We didn't arrive in Wellington till late afternoon so i just had a wonder around and grapped some supper before heading back to the hostel to get ready for our big night out dressed as Prom Queens!! We had stopped at a chariety shop along the way and all brought an outfit!! Mine was stunning - check out the photo's!! It was a great night. The next morning came round for to quickly and none of us had had much sleep but the sight seeing went on!! First stop Mt Victoria, luckily we were driven to the top!! The views were great a 360 degree view of the city. After this we headed for Wellington museum. Wow its huge - it had 5 floors to explore!! After a couple of hours and only making it to the 2nd floor we left to get some lunch. We chilled out by the water front before jumping back on the bus. The afternoon was spent on the bus heading for the South Island. It involved a 3 hour trip on the interisland ferry across Cook Strait then 2 hours the otherside on the bus before we reached Nelson.
