WOW!! What can i say the experience was amazing. The weather was awful but made the whole experience better as all the rain made more waterfalls appear. So after catching a ferry and a short bus journey we arrived at our overnight vessel which was going to cruise us around the stunning Doubtful Sound. Once on board it was straight out on to the deck to admire the views, the rain got heavier and heavier but we just wrapped ourselves in raincoats and carried on!! Later in the afternoon we stopped in cove where we got the oppourtunity to go kayaking which most of us did despite the rain!! What fun we all splashed each other and had a good mess around and 2 people fell out which was really funny and luckily not me!! Once back at the boat we had the oppourtunity to jump in which most people weren't up for as the water was only about 7 degrees!! But in true style i managed to talk nearly the whole group into jumping in. Well i was one of the first in and my god was it cold BRRRRRRRRRRR!!! I then got to watch everyone else take the plunge as my whole body went numb!! We weren't in for long then it was out and straight ito the hot showers!! By this time it was time for dinner and what a feast after the nature guide on board gave a talk and slide show then after some of us took on the challenge of Pictionary - what fun!! The next morning after sleeping on board the boat the captain woke us just before 7 and encouraged us up on to the top deck. Very excited to get up and take in the view off i headed only to be greeted by the rain!! After breakfast the weather was no better but the views were amazing so many waterfalls had been formed due to the rainfull and it was stunning. Again out in the rain with our rain coats getting soaked we admired the view. The captain also took us really close to one waterfall which was huge and lots of water raining from it- very exciting. After a morning on the boat it was time to jump off back on to shore. Soaking wet and aware of the long drive ahead of us we were not to keen on getting back onboard the bus!! The whole experience had been amazing, taking in the scenery that has been untouched and is so beautiful was just WOW!
