The coach arrived at 9am after a 12 hour journey and Lois and I went and booked in for our Whitsundays boat trip. Whilst we waited for the departure time we sat at the lagoon to cool off as it was hot hot hot! At 11:30am we waited to board our boat Wings, which is a catemaran and chatted to some people who would be on our trip. There were a few couples and some people who were travelling together but also some on their own and all seemed nice.
When we boarded the boat we had lunch whilst they did a briefing for us and then we started sailing. It turned out that I was the only English person and most people were Dutch or German so I was glad that everyone could speak English. The sleeping cabins were really cosy! I was put on a top bunk that had no safety rail and was only just a bit wider than me so that was a bit scary as I move around a lot in my sleep!
After lunch we sailed to Blue Pearl Bay to do some snorkelling off Hayman Island. I saw some really colourful fish and spent about an hour in the water. We then sailed to Hook Passage and stayed between Hook Island and Whitsunday Island and had a BBQ and watched a slide show of the photo's from our first day. The snorkelling and overnight coach had made me so tired that I was quite glad to have a quiet night so was quite glad when everyone called it a day about 10pm.
