We had a good run up through the hills from Nymboida to Ebor where we stopped for lunch. A chap on a Ducati multistrada asked if he could catch a shot of our road train - no worries mate.
We stopped in Armidale on a park bench as a chap, guitar in hand tried to hitch a ride.
Just out of Armidale a buch of Harleys sat behind us for about 10 k and then they all passed like a school of sharks. That night we stopped in Gunedah and the sharks camped right next door - it was "wild hogs" Australia - decent bunch of guys - one who snored badly was sent by his mates to sleep across the road.
That night we also camped next to two Active Campers and had dinner with them at the local RSL club. The next morning we headed for the Pilliger but were slowed for about an hours as a storm swept through the small country town we had taken refuge in.
We met Wendy and Jeff Betts at the Sandstone Caves and then Sue went with Wendy and Jeff and I rode the 40 k's of dirt road into the campsite - it stormed when I was about a third of the way in, just bucketted down. But we pushed on through and arrived dirty but safe.
