After the storm on the ride in, the weather fined up and we had a great supply of wood from Nindigully for the camp fire.
These were a few quiet days. Sue and Wendy searched for wildflowers to photograph, I did some drawing, Jeff read the paper and in between times we chatted and caught up on stuff.
On the Wednesday we drove up to the Salt Caves and the new high look out tower. It was Thursday morning we broke camp and Sue and Mal rode into Coonabarrabran and Wendy and Jeff went to stay with friends not so far away.
The road going out was dry and harder than on the run in when wet. The sand had dried out and so there were stretches of slightly deep loose sand - well and truely enough to bring us unstuck, especially towing the trailer. We plugged on and made it through fine.
We stayed in a cabin at the John Oxley caravan park - caught up on some tasks, charged all the batteries and hads take away pizza down by the river for tea.
I have marked the Pilliga as geographically Bugaldie - which is pretty close to where we were camped..
