We rode out to the Warrumbungles on the Friday morning and found a camp to suit us and Wendy and Jeff. We got set up and were well sorted by the time Martin and Lisa stopped by in their Active Camper to say hello - we had met them at the camper out. A great couple from Melbourne.

Well Lisa and Marty were chatting and up rolls Wendy and Jeff.

The next day, Saturday we did the walk up to the Breadknife and the High Tops - Wendy and Sue walked back down the way they had come, while Jeff and I did a longer route back down the mountain. A good stiff walk but well worth the effort.

That night I was in bed early and asleep in a flash

The next day Sunday, we had a slow start and then went up to the Observatory at Siding Springs - worthwhile. Back for a quick bite and then walked up to Spirey View to check out some orchids, Martin had spotted. The girls tracked them down and it was after sunset by the time we were back in camp.

Monday morning early, Wendy, Jeff and I did the 5k walk around the flats while someone, who shall remain unnamed gazed at the inside of Sue's eyelinds (damn I went and mentioned her name).

We broke camp and met in Coonabarabran for coffee before Wendy and Jeff headed off to Gunedah and we headed for Broken Hill.
