4.15am start packed and out of hotel at 4.30am and at rail station by 4.45am set a new best time yaah. Yesterday we did a trial run and it took 25 mins to get to train station. Pace did not change from there on in. Hung on whilst train whisked us to the airport. Jumped off and scooted along inside the terminal onto a bus with a crazy driver which took us to terminal 1 went thru passport control and walk trot trot scurry to gate 42 to board just in time for our aircraft all the while lurkg in the back of our minds we are not sheep we are not sheep flew into Santiago jumped on to bus to Lugo off that bus and onto bus to Sarria with only slurps frm our trusty water bottle. No time for food. Steve sat next to a delightful spanish woman who praise the Lord could speak English and had completed 200 plus kms of the Camino giving us pearls and jewels of info.
We were astonished when we found our accommodation was expecting humbler lodgings. Picturesque settings delightful eateries. Tasted an exquisite gelato mine was pistachio and tingley lemon set on a very long waffle cone and Steve enjoyed pistachio and mango. Our spanish is limited and thort we ordered toastie sandwiches for lunch ah no we ordered 2 slices of toast with butter and jam aaaaand the most yummiest of hot delectable creamie tantalising chocolate drinks u cd ever allow yr mouth to taste. Took a stroll around this beautiful old village absorbed with the quiet pace and loss of time sensing you were drawn back a century. Later that evening after this massive pizza we ate each we ambled up and down quiet streets encaptulated by the dreaminess of the evening it was 10.30 and dusk was beginning to cast its evening blanket ready for slumber. There were many albergues along the way e8 or e7 so quaint warm and inviting thats what we really wanted to experience. Adios

Yvonne Higgs Oh my gosh you poor things. Just reading your blog makes my heart race, it would make a good movie. looking forward to your next entry. Shikanah is very smoochie and brought in a gift for me a field mouse which was a hilarious scenerio Yvonne cat and mouse chase around your house. Caught mouse eventually and put outside.
