Well, Budapest managed to redeem itself after yesterday's dramas. We had a lovely day, albeit very hot. We went up the funicular to the castle with lovely views of the river and city. Having mastered the trams we were jumping on and off like locals to keep the walking to a minimum. Finished up over on the Pest side and found Dr fish, a place that has the fish that eat the dead skin on your feet. I had to have a go and to be honest it didn't make any difference, the street we were in is all cafes and restaurants so had lunch before heading off. Found a shopping centre which was a good move as it was air conditioned. Sat in there for quite a while enjoying coffee in the cool. Even bought ourselves a new shirt each as both getting a bit sick of wearing the same clothes. Headed back to the cafe strip, this time via the underground and got it right first time. Stopped at a couple of places for drinks then had a meal before heading home on the tram again to our lovely air conditioning.
