Left Budapest and straight onto freeway. Seemed to reach the border in no time and before we knew it we were in Bratislava. Had a bit of trouble finding the hostel, as with most of these cheapies they are tucked down an alley. Makes it a bit difficult when driving and looking for a park as well. What a joke, we managed to drive around the block a few times and still couldn't see the hostel. Eventually found a parking spot (reserved we think) and walked up the street to find hostel. We're too early to check in but the girl gave us directions to find street parking so off we went. This time it was even worse but eventually jagged a spot so went and had lunch and a coffee to calm down. Went back to check in and decided to pay for secure parking as they have another hotel with parking. Had to walk around to get garage key from other place, get car, park it, take key back then walk back to our hostel. All simple as they were all in the same street, except Stevie read the map wrong so we did a few laps on foot of Bratislava, so we really know these streets well. Hostel room ok so that was my biggest worry. Went for a walk around old town, very nice with lots of cafes and not too many tourists. Didn't walk too far as getting really hot again. Had a couple of drinks at one place then moved on down the road and got stuck at a place with cheap beer. Met an Italian couple and finished up drinking more than was needed.
