A very slow morning due to the heat and overindulgence last night. Went next door to the cafe for breakfast and feeling human again. Left Budapest and straight onto freeway. Seemed to reach the border in no time and before we knew it we were in Bratislava. Had a bit of trouble finding the hostel, as with most of these cheapies they are tucked down an alley. Makes it a bit difficult when driving and looking for a park as well. Packed up and left our apartment in Krakow and headed for the Salt Mine at Wieliczka about 15 km away. Did the guided tour which was compulsory as you can't wander by yourself for obvious reasons. It started with walking down to 65m (52 flights of stairs). That was level one and we finished at level three which was 135m deep. The actual mine is 7km by 5km so we only saw a fraction of it.
