Arrived Helsinki about 10am local time. All a bit of a rush leaving ferry as Stephen got confused last night after too many beers and set the alarm in Swedish time. The final panic was trying to get to the right car deck. We got hopelessly lost and had no idea where our car was. Eventually asked for help after running up and down stairs frantically. Parked car at wharf once we got off ferry and did the hop on hop off bus around the city. They are not cheap but a great way to see the main sights in a short time. It looks completely different to when I was here years ago but maybe that's just the memory fading or the amount of alcohol consumed on the ferry 30 years ago. It seems like a really pleasant city and the weather helped today as was perfect. Found our hotel, quite a way out of town but ok with the car. Had dinner and early night.
