Left Prague after driving around the block five times to get a parking spot near the apartments to pack the car. Headed out and got a bit confused as ken the gps wanted us to go down a road that was closed. Eventually got on the right track and saw some lovely scenery through great little villages and we can say we've seen a lot of the Czech countryside. Arrived Olomouc and the hotel is only 600 metres from the old town. Walked in and what a lovely little place. Great to be somewhere without hoards of other tourists. Walked around the old town and stopped for drinks, they are even cheaper here $1.25 for 0.5 litre, and that was in the main square of the old town. Had a really nice meal then walked home. Decided to have a drink at the bar before bed, believe it or not, even cheaper, $1.17 for 0.5 litre. Stephen has decided not to go home now and is going to stay here and be a dero.

We could have stayed at Olomouc for a few days as it is a lovely town and the old part is well maintained and clean. The surrounding area is full of sites and we plan to squeeze one in tomorrow morning on the way to Krakow. I would strongly recommend this as a place to spend some time and have a good look around (I can also say this is where they must banish the best looking Czech womenfolk). What can I say about the beer other than "MMMMM I REALLY LIKE THAT BEER"
