All the way to Townsville where we caught the ferry to Magnetic Island the weather was rubbish. I have never seen rain like it..even in Wales. However, as soon as we stepped onto Maggie Island the sun started to shine. Magnetic Island is a little Island 20mins by ferry from Townsville and it is truly paradise. Are hostel was right on the beach...love it!!! However, 2 nights in Maggie was enough because there is nothing to do there apart from soak up the sun. We did venture out to the beach all dressed in are power rangers stinger suits to do a bit of snorkeling but returned 10 mins later because the visibility was so bad. All because of cyclone Larry. Next stop Airlie beach where we will set sail on a boat called "spank me????" for 3 nights around the Whitsundays. Having a bit of trouble putting pics on the website so just hang on in there guys.
