Squirrel on tour
well this is the last installment from australia, flying out to fiji tomo then onto the states.
after an overnight 11 hr bus ride with big mumma sat next to me and using me has a rest when she nodded off i finally arrived in melbourne (even colder than sydney!!!). i have spent the last week in melbourne and what a week its been, with meeting the neighbours crew, great ocean rd tigers rule....
top 4 melbourne memories......
1/ my first night me and the girls from my room gooned it up and skipped off to neighbours night. it was great chubby harold was there, shaking it. and the favourite of the night dr karl who sang his little heart out with his band.
2/ i couldn't come to australia and not do the great ocean rd so i booked myself on one of those got to be done boring tours. however, surprisingly it was brill and every part of it was amazing. firstly we stopped at the famous bells surfing beach. followed by visiting a lighthouse, but not just any lighthouse (cast your minds back to a tv programme called going round the twist!!!). yep that lighthouse!! obviously the main purpose of going on the tour was to drive the great ocean rd and it was breathtaking. followed by another main attraction the 12 apostles. all in all a good day out.
3/ neighbours tour. back in the day i was a massive neighbours fan but now just catch an episode here and there. but even me not being a true fan was sooooo excited when stood on harolds driveway...he'he'he.
4/ last one to tick off the melbourne visit to do list was to go to an aussie rules game. and its up there with the best travelling moments. the excitement levels were quite possibly on a par with a wales rugby game!!! the game was dangerously close throughout the 4 quarters. it was the tigers v bombers. i was and am a tiger fan. go tigers........
after sitting next to tigers biggest fan it didn't take us long to get emotionally involved. the 4th quarter 5 mins to go tigers were down by 2 points and the 6 year old biggest fan started crying....which set me off. but do not fear the tigers came through and in the end beat the bombers 68 - 65.
now i must end..catching the bus back to sydney in a bit then onto fiji. chow. lots of love x x x
p.s caps lock is not working on this pc! hence why everything is in lower case. :)
