Saturday 8th March

It was our last day in Coffs Harbour. We were pleased to see the day finally arriving after being there for a month! Obviously we had to pack our stuff together and then checked out. We then popped into town to attend to the library for free internet access for 30mins. We then stocked few things for our overnight journey to Sydney.

We made our way back to the hostel and watched a film. We also read books to speed the time up! We didn't have to leave the hostel till 9pm to catch our coach at 10pm. During the afternoon, Daniel returned back to his rucksack and found a note on top of the bag. It was addressed to both of us. we opened it and it was a kind note from the owners, thanking for our time for the jobs and wishing us luck for the great travels. We thought it was nice of them to leave a little surprise for us. We then had photos taken with them for memories.

Eventually our time arrived to leave the hostel. The owners drove us to the bus station and we had a quick chat and we said our farewells. We did feel weird that it wasn't Daniel's time to do the bus driving! We agreed to keep in touch via emails which they have given their addresses on their note.

Then they were gone. Other bus driver (who is from Leicester and he was the competition for Daniel) arrived and was surprised that we were leaving instead of being a bus driver. We both have been friendly and got to know each other over few evenings so we exchanged the contact details again.

Our coach turned up on time to our surprise cos during our times of being the bus driver, they have always been so late!! We hopped on and said our goodbyes to Coffs Harbour. We were so tired so we went to sleep, hoping our journey would be over quickly. Unfortunately it wasn't a smooth sleepy night for us! We managed to grab at least 4 hours in total during our journey of 8 hours.
