Sunday 9th March
We arrived to Sydney at very early morning such as 6.15am! We then made our way to the Central Station to take us straight to the Blue Mountains. We caught a train in good time as we didn't have to wait very long and jumped off at Katoomba and walked for at least 10mins before arriving to our hostel. The air was so fresh and clean, just like to be in the countryside again! The train journey took a couple of hours so we arrived to the hostel at 9.30am. The hostel were more like home as its just a big house with a homely feeling. And the best of all, it come with free wireless internet!
After a quick wash, we decided to see what the town have to offer seeing that we had a full day to use. However before we left, Daniel made the most of the free breakfast. Lisa was just happy to have a cuppa of tea, though she wasn't keen on full fat milk taste!
We left the hostel around noon and proceeded towards the famous blue mountains called Three Sisters. During our walk, there was a fruit/vegs market which was soooooooooo cheap! It was practically next door to the hostel too so it was handy for us. We popped in for snacks to keep our stomaches going through the day. The walk took us a long while before reaching to Three Sisters. It took us at least 45mins and it was a beautiful view of the blue mountains. You could say its much better than Grand Canyon in USA as there are so many different views to take in. The difference between those canyons are that in Blue Mountains, they are covered with trees.
After taking too many photos as usual, we walked towards the Three Sisters to get close up photos and then we noticed that there were more walking tracks downwards but unfortunately it wasn't a good idea for us. At the time, we were wearing our flip flops! We weren't prepared for the serious hiking and haven't brought basic essentials, especially water! so we walked back to the town centre which was tiring for us as it was uphill!
Popped into the supermarket to grab few stuff and then had our early tea, seeing that we didn't have any lunch. Our tiredness have taken over as we had a very long day with lack of sleep overnight. However, we just chilled out in the lounge, updating our website. Daniel read his book and decided to have a early night as he wasn't feeling too great. while Daniel slept, Lisa continued to finish off the blog as well as chatting on MSN with her family. She then retired at 11.30pm and slept just like that!
