Another beautifully, hot, sunny day to enjoy. I was chatting with God this morning, wondering of the difference between resting and being lazy... His wisdom came so refreshingly curious it had to be Him. "Resting is an act of choice that for those who are lazy is no different than doing nothing. Resting for those who are not lazy is more difficult than being busy, and takes a conscious effort to enjoy." I am learning to enjoy my rest without guilt or obligation!

We picked yet more blackberries yesterday, gathering a total of 10 gallons. These we have frozen for the relatives. I have never known such unforgiving brambles - at one point I thought I might just have to hang by the side of the road indefinitely, impaled by myriads of wicked spikes and relentless thorns until Eli was able to disentangle me from the evil, overgrown bush.

We are going for a picnic in the park this afternoon with Grandma and all her friends... I must get ready and make a good impression.
