Jim and Sim's World Adventure
We picked up our campervan a couple of days ago and headed up the west coast.
Its a very cosy 2 berth van with everything that we need in it. Jim was armed with a box of PG Tips and a pair of slippers (one happy man).
We have been to see the Te Matua Ngahere which is the widest Kauri Treet in New Zealand - Its absolutely massive. We stayed our 2nd night at a camp site right on Opononi beach front - the view was amazing and we walked along the beach as the sun was setting.
We then drove to Cape Reinga (the most northerly point in New Zealand), and visited the huge sand dunes.
Jim managed to persuade the guy at the camp site to open the bar at 3am and put Sky on for him, so he sat there alone with a calor gas heater and watched the match.
People go sand boarding down them, but we couldn't see any. We spent the night at ninety mile beach and watched the sun set.
