Arrived in Sydney safe and sound. We have done loads of things since we got here. Our hotel is very nice, it overlooks Hyde Park, it has a roof top pool and spa which we are going to sample this evening after dinner. On the 15th we went to look at the harbour and wandered around to look at the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House which is quite impressive, the roof is made out of individual tiles. On the 16th we had a walk around the botanical gardens which has fruit bats hanging from the trees - they are massive. We also had a wander around the rocks which is where the first Europeans settled. In the afternoon we climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge which was ACE. It took three and a half hours and we got to the top just as the sun was setting. Absolutely brilliant - we would recommend it to anyone. We didn't want to come down. Today we wandered around Darling Harbour and then went to the top of the Sydney tower which was good, excellent views of the city and the harbour and we managed to catch the sun setting again. We pick up our camper van tomorrow and we think we are going to head for the Blue mountains for a couple of days before heading up the coast.
