From here we headed up the coast to the infamous Phuket. We avoided the dive that is Patong and headed instead to Kata beach. A nice spot that's not too crazy, even though it's clearly just a tourist place with only hotels, restaurants and massage places on our street. It's here that Shane got his first regular sightings of the lady boys...have to say most of them aren't too convincing so we are expecting better as we head further north!!! We hired a scooter dur...

We landed into Hat Yai, as we hadn't been sure where we wanted to go when we booked the flights so again we did this a little sideways!!! Once we got there and got our minibus transfer booked we had a bit of time to kill so we headed to a lovely little place...where Shane got his first taste of Thai Spicy!!! The dish had a little pork, and at least 5 chillies of different size, shape and heat, much to his delight!!!The sweat was pouring off him like never before!...

So we arrived into KL a day later than we had thought, happy to get there without any more dramas!! We spent our time in KL wandering around the place, taking in Chinatown and a Little India, where we had another amazing Indian meal....The highlight of our time here was going to the skybar in the evening in time to watch the sun setting whilst facing the Petronas Towers. We decided our money was better spent having a drink looking at them, rather than no drinking...

What followed was a super relaxing week in a lovely little resort on Bunaken Island. We were basically either snorkelling, there was an amazing reef that was right in front of the resort, or else we were relaxing in the hammocks!! Tough life we hear you all saying!!! It was some of the best snorkelling that we have done, with shed loads of colourful and different fish, the highlight of which was the lionfish and puffer fish, as well as turtles, stingrays and cra...

So once we had enough Bintang, we decided to move to Nusa Lembongan, described in the Lonely Planet, as the Bali many imagine but never find!! Sounded like it was just the place for us! So we set off on another boat that would drop us onto the beach in Lembongan. At first we weren't convinced by Shanes decision on the accommodation, out front it was a ramshackle shop and then a billiards hall....but luckily just behind this there we a few really nice, new rooms!...
