We arrived into Phnom Phen in the afternoon after a pretty painless journey, no extra people, ok roads etc.....the only problem was that we had decided to come the same time that an exiled politician was returning to the country after getting a pardon!!! Cue rally's and traffic chaos everywhere!!! After leaving mum we got our overnight bus to Bangkok, where we spent a couple of days planning our next move and checking out the sights and sounds of Bangkok. We decided to head to Chaturburi, to get closer to the boarder as the main boarder between Bangkok and Siem Reap is well known for its scams!!! Ranging from the real concrete building they have built as a pretend visa office, to the taxi stand next to the police station where they over charge like crazy!...

Next up was our week holiday in Ko Samui. We were meant to be meeting Phil's mum and dad here, but unfortunately Tim could not make it as he was starting his new job in Manila on the first day.
