Today we went to the shark museum / exhibition. It's owned by a guy called Vic Hislop, he is quite famous in this part of Australia, up until 2001 he held the guiness world record for catching the biggest great white shark. We went to his expo and had a look around, he had a large freezer with the biggest Great White Shark he had ever caught preserved inside. It's 22 foot long. There were also other sharks inside, hammerheads and tiger sharks. Literally the 22ft great white was the other side of the glass from us, it's in brilliant condition and you could see right down its mouth. Hopefully the closest either of us come to one. We also watched a couple of documentaries he had made, they are basically showing you how he caught them and why he caught them. He also had some swordfish and stingrays inside the expo. A lot of people here don't agree with what he does and the police no longer let him catch and kill sharks, his argument is that they are slowly killing all the other sea creatures like dolphins, turtles and stingrays and also humans whilst they grow in population. Very interesting though and the safest way you can come face to face with a great white. Leaving here tomorrow for Brisbane, can't wait..
