Saz and Dave's travels
This morning started like all good mornings start, with a good old near death experience! As we had very few clean clothes left to wear, the first thing we did was go to get our laundry back. However on the way to the shop, we walked under a huge palm tree and literally 2 seconds after we walked under it there was a huge thud behind us. We both looked back and saw that a huge (bigger than Dave!) palm leaf had fallen to earth landing just inches from our heels. Must be our lucky day!!!
Today you will be sorry to hear that we had yet another relaxing day by the beach as we decided not to risk our lives any further by venturing out of the resort. You will be glad to hear however, that it rained today, this didn't really bother us though that much and we still managed to do a fair bit of swimming in the sea.
Towards the evening, just as we were thinking of making a move back to our bungalow, a local came around the sun loungers claiming to be collecting money for a childrens charity. As we had already been guilt tripped into paying up once by someone else we told them where to go. This then led to us meeting the girl on the sun lounger next to our's - Kate, who had also been stung once already. We got chatting to her for a good hour our so while she told us practically everything there is to know about the east coast of Australia. This was really good as our enthusiasm for Australia wasn't too high as we really love it here so much that we don't want to leave. However after hearing about Kate's adventures on the east coast, we couldn't wait to get there!
After a shower and a blast on the internet, we finally went to tea at 10pm, luckily the waiter at our bungalows was very kind and although they had officially stopped serving, let us order some grub.
After tea, we met up with Kate and her friend Charlotte for a quick apres tea drink and listened to their comedy tales about Harrogate (where they both come from).
