Saz and Dave's travels
As you have probably noticed, we are slightly behind now on the journal after a fairly hectic couple of weeks of travelling around. So we will keep it brief for now.
Today we decided to have a look around the Fisherman's Village (Bophut) when all of the shops were open and we wouldn't risk getting covered in water by the locals (see 13/4/06). We found some great shops, including plenty of shops selling hand-made leather shoes even in a size 12! We couldn't beleive it, but we decided not to buy any as not only did we have enough hassle with the first pair of hand-made shoes (they have now officially fallen apart), but also as we have very little room left in our ruck sacks.
After the hour of walking and browsing around the shops, we spent the remainder of the aftenoon on the beach which you can see in the picture. Nothing much else to report about today apart from the fact that when we were in The Fisherman's Village, we saw 2 motorbike crashes within about 15 minutes of each other (reinforcing our decision not to rent a motorbike here!)
