It was a pretty chilled out morning, we went to the kitchen to have our breakfast which in my case was nutri-grain cereal, it tasted nice but the choice of cereals in Australia is limited whereas in England there were so many cereals to choose from. Later on, we went online to sort out our blogs and for me, i was a bit behind with the blogs as my wifi access is limited, i realised that i did not check my emails for around a week seeing that i might have recieved an important email from university or something like that but fortunately there was a couple of emails necessary to read but otherwise it is going straight to the junk mail! There was some things we were going to do before we went on the shuttle bus which kindly picked us up right on front of our hostel for the neighbours tour at 12.05 but the morning was a slow pace for us as the time went too fast. The neighbours tour shuttle bus picked us up and drrove to the neighbours shop giving us the chance to buy some stuff before setting off to the official neighbours studio and set. it was a half hour away from the central of melbourne which i was surprised to find out as i imagined it was a bit further than that, anyway we all eventually arrived and i took some pictures of Lucas and Steph garage set but alas, we could not explore further seeing that it was tour A not tour B, the tour A entitles us to meet one famous person with some glimpses of set also the famous street of ramsay street in the real life but the tour B, for 70 dollars entitles us to go behind the sets to see lassisters, Harold's cafe etc but it was a bit more expensive than tour A which was 50 dollars and the tour B was only on weekends. after a while of waiting, we met Sonya who is Toadie's girlfriend and the mother of Callum. She was so nice to meet and she wrote some lovely things on my autograph, i took some photos of us and others to show the people back home! 45 minutes later, we went to the street which is called pine oak wood in reality but as it's a soap, they changed it to ramsay street for filming only and when they have finished filming, they go back to normal routines, i discovered something that interests me greatly....the houseowners of the houses on the street get paid annually for letting the neighbours show to film it and the inside sets is not in the houses, it is in the studio so when you see susan kennedy going in her house to her living room, the settings outside of the house is real but the inside settings is in a studio! i ultimately enjoyed the day, i am sure when i watch neighbours again, i will feel a bit strange knowing these non-ficton stories and the fact i have been there! Once we arrived back to our hostel by the shuttle bus dropping us off, we decided to go to the skydeck tower which lets us have a beautiful view of Melbourne. i bought the deal which was called sun and stars, you must have guessed why...it gives us two admissions to the skydeck so we could see the day and night. We firstly went up during the daylight and took some photos then afterwards, we were hungry so we went to the melbourne central to eat something which was the 'Grilled' restaurant. i ordered the snack beefburger as i wanted to keep my appetite for the pancake parlour next door! yes typical of me ;) Once we finished we went back to skydeck for our stars ticket admission to see the night views, i wholly enjoyed these as it was lovely to see these lights shimmering away!
