As it was our first offical day in melbourne, and the day when Dominic realised he lost his precious camera in Cairns.....his face really dropped when he realised he couldnt find his camera anywhere in his bag. After a chat session with Charlotte who we befriended in cairns and staying in same hostel as us, she tried to find it for him but to no avail. We decided to gather all information so we would know where we can go and what activities we could do so we went to the federation square where they have the melbourne visitor centre. We got the tram from St Kilda to Flinders street where the federation sqaure is, we was happy to discover there was free wifi available, predicably me and dominic was more elated to find that out rather than others! i talked to a lovely old lady who looked like she was in her mid fifties, she was really helpful and she laughed when i asked where the main shopping places to go, she said there is so many places she wouldnt know which ones to choose from haha. After collecting all information, we had a browse around inside the federation square when Dominic decided suddenly that he wanted to buy a new camera as he wanted to take pictures in Melbourne, New Zealand and Fiji so we went to Elizabeth street were there was a string of camera shops to choose from. Michael's camera shop was the first shop Dominic went in and guess what....he came out with a brand new blue camera with no research whatsoever! he said he could not be bothered to trail along the street finding out similar prices, i said to him there was a possibility of a similar camera that were cheaper in another shop but he said he didnt mind. After a day of bad weather which was raining, we went to get something to eat which was Subway! i ordered a chicken with cheese and BBQ sauce which tasted great, As usual, Ashley ordered a tuna filling...boring! We went back to our hostel and we opted to hang out in the bar at our hostel, Ashley was chatting up with a 28 year old girl while we met with a lovely man who studied bio-medical degree and he could sign a bit by using basic sign language. Ashley was using my phone to commuciate with her as his phone was flat. Later on after finishing our drinks, we decided to head off and catch our beauty sleep! later on, i discovered that Ashley lied to the girl he was chatting with about the our travelling journey...he said that he came with me to travelling because my mum wouldnt let me'go by myself with friends and that i needed someone to look after me!? i was so amazed to read the note on my phone, i couldnt believe Ashley lied to make himself look good and using me...i felt so stupid wondering what the girl would think of me! i told Ashley off and he said who could blame him....girls like a man who looks after his sister, i got back to him by saying a man?....no you mean a boy with an evil laugh! what a sweet revenge!
