9am...the time I woke up ready to pack the last stuff in my backpack after getting ready for the airport to our next stop throughout our travels, Cairns. We had to check out by 10am but our flight was not scheduled until 2pm so we put our backpacks in the luggage room so we could freely browse around Brisbane on our last day. We went to a souvenir shop to buy couple of stuff, I bought a Brisbane sticker as I have started a weird collection of stickers each place I have been to, so far I have New York, Hong Kong, Sydney, Brisbane and Australia. :-) I bought a lovely knitted Cardigan which i haven't seen back home as it was a bit different shaped style. It also would be suitable for Melbourne and NZ as it would be cold also the winter in England is coming soon. Charlene bought couple of cuddly toys like koalas, kangaroos, it was a bit of rush to get things we wanted to buy before we all had to go back to hostel before 11.45 to be ready for the pre-booked taxi to take us to airport. It only cost us 11 dollars each which was slightly cheaper from the airport to Brisbane. It was self check in again so it was quite easy to do rather than queuing up for the check in. I grabbed a lunch which was hungry jack, similar to burger king, it was tasty. Once we boarded the plane to cairns which only took 2 and half hours, I felt it was a quick flight somehow, I think I was busy looking through photos on my camera! We asked the information centre desk to call our hostel which was Njoy! for free transport service from the airport to the hostel...when we were told that they would be 10 minutes, I thought hmm that's quick. Turned out it was correct as Cairns was near to the airport therefore the reason they got to the airport quick lol. I checked in for rest of us, it was a 8 bed dorm with two mid twenties men already in the room, we decided to leave our bags and go to explore what cairns is like. We couldn't be bothered to wait for the free bus to central of cairns seeing that it comes every half hour so we walked to the central with a guidance of the map. We laughed our heads off after we arrived at central of cairns only 10 minutes of walking, who needs the bus?! we decided that our appetites was in a need of food so we embarked to find a place to eat. We saw a cheap Irish pub called O'Paddy's with a deal of 12 dollars value meals so I ordered beef burger with chips, we all talked about what was highlights of travelling so far etc and how we miss Brisbane already.
