Today we went to DFO which is a outlet for a bargain hunter like me! Filled with such cheap yet great clothes for me to buy and blowing a bit of my budget...oh well who cares!? i only live once ;) We walked from our hostel Njoy! on sheridan street to mulgrave road where the DFO was in, funnily enough on the map it looked like it wasnt too far away but how wrong we were, it took us 35 minutes to get there walking on same street. It reminded me of the designer outlet in east midlands which was not too far from home, i bought a navy sweatpants as i realised that i didnt have enough trousers seeing that in Melbourne and New Zealand bound to be colder than United Kingdom so it was a necessary purchase...i also bought lovely tan shoes to go with my leopard cropped trousers and i told myself that it would be great for my university period starting on beginning of october, Asher said i was just only looking for excuses to buy these things which i admit was correct but at the same time, it does made sense for me wanting to look nice for my university studies to be undertaken soon so i think i had a valid point haha! I found it amusing that Asher bought a henry lloyds polo shirt which cost more around 50 dollars than what i spent in overall with my purchases....i think it shows who is a good bargain hunter. After a couple of hours shopping, we all had enough of looking at the price tags, just at that moment Ashley revealed that his beloved nikon camera lens was a bit broken as it would not go up to 55mm zoom only going up to 25mm from 18mm....he wanted to buy another lens from the technology shop in DFO but he was concerned with the price seeing it was 650 dollars so i recommended him to wait and speak with our grandfather who is an expert with camera. On the way to catch the bus back to our hostel as we didnt want to walk back with our feet aching, Ashley's camera suddenly decided to work again with the zoom able to come to 55mm, what a weird camera! it was quite sweet to see Ashley's face which lit up at the moment he found out it was in working order. My stomach was rumbling after burning my calories off by spending, we all decided to go to Hogs Breath cafe which is well known in Australia, it is equilavent to TGI fridays in UK, once we arrived, i saw a sign saying the cocktail of the day was strawberry sex on the beach therefore as it was my favourite cocktail, i ordered one! once i tasted the drink, it felt a bit different than the typicial regular cocktail but our waitress named Emmi explained that australian people do it a bit differently mixing the cocktail recipes up! it had strawberry midori with pineapple and vodka.... it is seen on the photo i uploaded above! Aftter eating my order of beefburger with piggy tail shaped fries which was delicious, i tried Asher's order which was succulent soft steak which i amazingly liked for once as i didnt like the chewy steaks. our dessert was the chocolate fortune filled with choice of marshmallows, bananas with strawberries....heaven! Emmi told us when the remaining chocolate was left, we should try the straw to drink the chocolate which i thought was odd but nevereless i tried and guess what? it tasted beautifully! Hogs breath cafe staff is really lovely and very friendly, what a coincidence Kirsty day works in hogs breath too in Brisbane lol!
